Junior Achievement of Greater Boston Welcomes MA Secretary of Labor and Workforce Development, Lauren E. Jones, as Speaker at JA Inspire Launch Breakfast

BOSTON, MA – December 5, 2023 – Junior Achievement of Greater Boston (JA) – a nonprofit organization seeking to close the wealth and opportunity gaps for youth in its impact communities (currently Boston, Brockton, Chelsea, Lawrence, Lowell, Lynn, Quincy, Somerville, and Worcester) by creating middle school to career pathways, igniting youth entrepreneurship, and preparing financially savvy youth – will hold its much-anticipated, second annual JA Inspire event on December 12, 2023, at the Hynes Convention Center.

JA Inspire, a dynamic career exploration fair, is designed to ignite the passions and aspirations of middle school students by providing a first-hand look into a multitude of career pathways available to them. In partnership with local organizations and businesses – and with the support of its signature sponsor, Staples Inc. – this immersive event aims to connect students, educators, and industry leaders through interactive exhibits, engaging discussions, and networking opportunities.

This year's event will be preceded by an invitation-only Launch Breakfast featuring remarks by JA’s esteemed guest, the distinguished MA Secretary of Labor and Workforce Development, Lauren E. Jones. Secretary Jones, a trailblazer in the field of labor and workforce development, will share invaluable insights and expertise on navigating the dynamic landscape of today's job market evolution.
JA Inspire is set to be an expansive event, featuring participation from more than 45 employers across six diverse industries. These employers will engage with, and showcase their offerings to, a captive audience of over 1,200 middle school students hailing from 21 schools in the Greater Boston region.

"We’re thrilled to have Secretary Lauren Jones join us for the JA Inspire Breakfast and Career Exploration Fair," said Radhamés Nova, President and CEO at Junior Achievement of Greater Boston. "Her vast experience and dedication to empowering the future workforce align perfectly with our mission to equip young minds with the knowledge and skills needed to succeed in the ever-changing job market."

JA Inspire promises an enriching experience for students, providing a platform to engage with industry professionals, learn about various career options, and gain valuable insights into the skills and knowledge required for success in today's workforce.
